The localization process
Our localization process involves working with native speakers to translate our video scripts professionally, record translated voiceover, and re-illustrate and re-animate all onscreen text, all while reviewing and adjusting the phrasing and graphics for the cultural context of each language.
If you want to connect with us about localization into a language not already in production, this page describes the teams necessary to accomplish a localization project. You can also check for available positions on our Careers page.
Help a localized channel grow
One of the best ways to help a localized language grow is to subscribe to its YouTube channel and encourage your friends to do the same. When you subscribe, you’ll receive notifications when we launch new videos. And as the channel's subscriber count grows, YouTube will highlight the channel and videos to new viewers.
Also, many of our localization projects have channels on social platforms. To see whether or not the localization project has a Facebook or Instagram channel, scroll to the bottom of any specific language page listed on the main Languages page.
